A first
I have, for the first time since I arrived, heard the sound of thunder. Sounds like a butterflies-filled stomach grumbling.
At the same time, my stomach is butterflies-filled, being thrown into a foreign land all alone for the first time. What initially felt like a long holiday is in reality a (too) long period away from home. Missing my family and Debbie this much is a first.
At the same time, this long period away from home is when I have to strive for my First in law. Alas, each is only allocated one future. A first, and the last one.

I saw the thunder for the first time in UK last night too. Never saw any during my year in Oxford! Crappy weather.
Relax my friend, it's normal that you feel this way as it's your first time overseas and being on your own. You will emerge an independent and mature man (hopefully a First-class graduate too ;D). The journey is everything.
Ditto Weng Tchung's comment: relax, pal. Listen, grab a couple of guys and head for another nice succulent duck rice at The Four Seasons. (Remember how the boss there prefered cash to card?)
Update! :D
